I was super excited to see one of my most recent webdesign projects featured in the StudioPress Showcase. Sentinel Health is a WordPress site and is powered by the Genesis Theme Framework by StudioPress. You can view the live site here or check out the screenshot below.
I’m not at all surprised that your project is being showcased. You did a terrific job with the design! What tool did you use for the picture on the Healthcare Stimulus pdf on the sidebar of the interior pages?
Here is a quick rundown of how I achieved this look:
– Open up the PDF that is going to be used.
– Zoom out till an entire page can be seen.
– Do a screen capture or print screen (I use “Alt+Prnt Scrn” to print just the active window).
– Paste the screenshot in your favorite image editing program (for the sake of those that haven’t spent the money on Photoshop, I usually reference GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) – a free open source alternative.
– Trim off everything except for the page its self.
– Repeat for the other pages that you are going to display.
– Position your three layers to your liking. (I reduced the size of the bottom two pages to make the front page stand out.)
– Add a little drop shadow to the top layer and you’re all done.
